Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded by Alberto Beggio in 1945 immediately after the World War II. Its headquarters are based in Noale, Italy. The company started off with producing bicycles and later moved to scooters and small-capacity motorcycles. It has an active history in sports and racing, and was acquired by Piaggio in 2004. Its current portfolio in India comprises RS and Tuono line-ups under motorbikes and SR, SXR, and Storm series under scooters.
